Wally Zimmerman is the principal of Zimmerman Lawyers and senior counsel. His expertise is in the area of civil litigation, including trial and appellate advocacy. He is certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a Specialist in Civil Litigation.

He is a trustee and the chairman of CML Healthcare Income Fund as well as a Director and Vice Chair/Lead Director of Cipher Pharmaceuticals Inc., both publicly traded companies. He has also presented on Corporate Governance Issues.

He is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, Canadian Bar Association, the Hamilton Law Association, the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) and the Canadian Club. Wally is active in the Hamilton community and is a past president of one of the major provincial political parties in Ontario.

Wally graduated with a B.A. from McMaster University in 1961 and received his law degree from Osgoode Hall in 1964. He was called to the Bar in 1966.
